#CabysCon was a blast! We’re excited to share with you the first-hand experiences of MVP’s eSports players during the tournament.
The Axie Infinity Cabanatuan Community Meetup (CabsyCon) last October 22, 2022 was the first and biggest Axie local area network (LAN) tournament in the Philippines. The historic event was held in Cabanatuan, the symbolic place where Axie Infinity first started in the Philippines.
The said tournament hosted by BlockchainSpace in collaboration with Axie Infinity Philippines, successfully brought together different guilds across the country, pioneers in the Philippine Web3 space, and even international players. It was a day full of learning from the pioneers, connecting with other Axie enthusiasts, watching and playing during the sensational 7-game Final.
The pioneers who consist of early adopters and builders in the Philippine Web3 namely Nix Eniego (Axie Infinity PH), KooKooCrypto (Yield Guild Games & Level Up Guild), Lucas Low (Limitless Guild), Spraky (Axie University and Yield Guild Games), Reign (MVP) and BlockchainSpace shared how Axie Infinity changed their lives during the fireside chat.
Our MVP eSports players who participated in CabsyCon exhibited outstanding performance all throughout the tournament particularly MVP Kapitan who took 2nd place and was given a badge for being one of the top eight players of the tournament. He shared with the team how CabsyCon helped him grow further as an Axie player despite having little experience playing in Axie Origin V3 tournaments.
MVP Kapitan also shared what he truly feels about his achievement, “Being in the top 2 is already an overwhelming and great experience overall, yet here we are, continuously pushing towards success and striving for excellence and progression”.
He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people who supported him in his journey, particularly Axie Academy, BlockChainSpace, “Boss R3IGN”, MVP Fam, his friends, and supporters.
Additionally, MVP Dubukid, CaraCute, and MVP Keylord both shared that they are happy about their CabsyCon experience because they encountered other formidable players during the tournament who put their skills to the test and made their experience worthwhile.
As for MVP Phif, he shared that he found the competitive air and camaraderie that he was looking for in tournaments during CabsyCon. He also felt nostalgic and recalled how he loved playing turn-based card games when he was still a kid. During the event, he was overwhelmed that he had the opportunity to compete again in a big arena. He firmly believes that he would be able to bag a championship title on his next attempt.
“This will not be possible if not for the combined efforts of MVP for providing what we need from transportation to accommodation and everything I need to be at my full potential as a player. I’m very happy to be part of such a positive environment every player dreams of. Thank you CabsyCon and of course, thank you MVP,” said MVP Phif.
CabsyCon was truly a great opportunity for the whole community to bond, learn, and grow together. It was an honor for our community to be part of such an incredible event. Thank you to everyone who made it possible! ’Til next time.
