GoDigital Pilipinas Kick-Off Event Sets the Stage for a Digitally-Connected Philippines
The Philippines is riding the wave of digital transformation, driven by the relentless efforts of the government and the Filipino people who champion the cause of digitalization. Enter GoDigital Pilipinas, the brainchild of the Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) Digital Infrastructure, which aims to help the Philippine Government propel the nation toward a more digitally-inclusive society. While some Filipinos are already tech-savvy, there’s still much to be done to ensure that no one is left behind in this digital revolution.
In case you haven’t heard, the GoDigital Pilipinas Kick-Off event, presented alongside MVP Esports, took place from May 26 to May 27, 2023, in La Union. The event was a strategic blend of engaging activities, including the thrilling Axie Summer Clash, an informative GoDigital University Talk event at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Panel Discussions on digital transformation for government and MSMEs, and an awesome GoDigital music festival at Flotsam and Jetsam to cap off the event.
During the two-day event, industry thought leaders delved into a wide range of important topics such as data privacy, artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital banking, and emerging technologies. Leaders and representatives from government agencies such as Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) also expressed their support toward the initiatives of GoDigital Pilipinas as stated in its 5 PACES Manifesto. They also actively participated in the Panel Discussions.
Attendees not only gained invaluable insights about the GoDigital Pilipinas movement and the potential impact of digitalization on the economy but also had the opportunity to experience the beauty of La Union and participate in the exciting events meticulously organized by GoDigital Pilipinas and co-presenters PLDT, PLDT Home and Smart, joined by its partners such as MVP Esports, Kolab, Globe, Flotsam, Converge, UnionBank, Questronix Corporation, and Lightstream8.
