The much-awaited championship was held on the last day of the Philippine Web 3 Festival. Jeff “JiHo” Zirlin, Co-Founder of SkyMavis was also present at the event. The Top 16 players fought in a fierce head-to-head battle on the main stage and it began with MVP Thunderstruck’s nail-biting battle against Chan5539 of MMG, the recent Cabsycon champion. The MVP fam is proud of ThunderStruck and Kapitan for showing an exceptional performance all throughout the tournament. As for ThunderStruck’s AOM2022 experience, he said “AOM was a lot of fun! I loved meeting my teammates from PH, some of which I’ve known for over a year. The competition itself was pretty successful. I arrived with no expectations and finishing 8th with $5000 was a great surprise. I love that LANs are finally back and I get to travel the world competing.”

MVP Caracute also shared that AOM2022 felt like AxieCon all over again and she got to meet her friends from all over the world for the second time this year. She hopes she could perform better with a much more diverse meta in the next LAN tournament. Lastly, she expressed her appreciation to the sponsors, “Thank you to our sponsors, Pendle V2, CryptoMoTo, and Axie.GG for always supporting us to achieve our dreams.”

We hope this is the first of the many Axie Infinity-related grand-scale events and tournaments in the Philippines. We appreciate your continuous support in all our endeavors.
